Working in executive capacities in Asia, Europe and the United States, Francesco has over 20 years of leadership experience in diverse industries, where he has built great teams and driven the proliferation of advanced technology solutions and services for Global Fortune 1000 firms.
As an entrepreneur, he has a proven track record of success building and launching venture-backed businesses—from founding through IPO or acquisition—in rapidly growing industry sectors.
Prior to founding Solinea, Francesco held leadership positions at technology and services companies at the forefront of their industries – Cloudscaling, WNS Global Services, Scient, and Cambridge Technology Partners.
Francesco received his MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, and his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
James “Jamie” Clark brings enormous technical expertise covering infrastructure, network architecture and software development built during his tenure at Solinea, Korea Telecom, Telstra and more. Jamie is a natural problem solver with an ability to break apart and resolve complex issues, and is effective at communicating across internal organizational boundaries and with vendors and customers. Jamie brings extensive experience with open source software components in both enterprise and service provider environments.
Dan Poler has been working in technology and infrastructure consulting for 20 years at companies large and small, and has both business and hands-on technical background in open source and cloud. He started his career building server and network infrastructure for one of the first Cable Modem deployments in the United States. More recently he has held roles at companies such as Red Hat and Canonical where his responsibilities included management and strategy for consulting, architecture, and sales engineering.

Ameet advises and invests in early stage & high growth technology companies looking to disrupt and revolutionize enterprise computing markets and business models. He is an active advisor/investor to Agari, Anaplan, Apigee, Avi Networks, Continuuity, Cyvera, Guardicore, ForgeRock, Librato, NodePrime, Panzura, Paxata, SkyHigh Networks and a number of stealth startups. He was recently an EIR/Venture Partner at Meritech Capital Partners, one of the leading late stage VC firms and an early stage venture capitalist focused on the enterprise technology and financial services sectors.
Previously, he was Managing Executive and CTO of JPMC’s LabMorgan business unit and SVP & Chief Architect of Chase’s consumer business. Prior to his senior role at JPMorganChase, Mr. Patel held senior IT roles at BASF and was a MTS at Bellcore. Mr. Patel has a M.B.A. in Finance and Information Technology, a M.S. in Computer Engineering, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering all from Rutgers University.
Toshi Otani is a co-founder and Managing Director of TransLink Capital. Toshi has over 20 years of experience in management of and investment in high-tech companies. Toshi is responsible for TransLink’s investments in Appcelerator, CloudOn, deCarta, Eye-Fi, Guavus, Nexenta, Noom, Ubooly, Wildfire (acquired by Google) and Workspot, as well as supporting TransLink’s portfolio companies with their customers and partners primarily in Japan.
Toshi was the President of Hikari Tsushin’s VC operation in the U.S. where he managed their investment team in Palo Alto. Under Toshi’s leadership, Hikari expanded their operations to a team of six investment professionals. Toshi directly led Hikari Tsushin’s investments in successful companies such as WebEx (NASDAQ: WEBX, acquired by Cisco) and SiRF (NASDAQ: SIRF).
Toshi also has startup leadership experience as Senior Vice President of Everypath Inc. He founded the Japanese subsidiary of Everypath and served as its General Manager and Representative Director where he was responsible for sales, marketing, project management, customer support, and R&D. Toshi grew Asian operations to a team of over 20 professionals, which generated over 60% of Everypath’s worldwide business.
Early in his career, Toshi worked for Mitsubishi Corporation, the world’s largest trade and investment firm, where he was in charge of multiple investment and business development projects in the IT industry. During his tenure at Mitsubishi, he enjoyed roles in sales, marketing, project management, and business development. He worked with highly successful start-ups such as Parametric Technology Corporation (NASDAQ: PMTC) to expand business in the Japanese market.
Toshi received his MBA degree from Stanford University and a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Keio University in Japan.
